Emacs is back with a vengeance. I recently got a new MacBook and have developed the need for some native Emacs goodness.
I looked around (though not too hard) and didn't see any other Emacs binaries except for Aquamacs, but it is too divergent from normal Emacs behavior for me. You may like it if the idea of multiple files open in a single window scares you or you are one of those who've actually used the menus in Emacs. Or maybe you want Command-O to open a file instead of using C-x C-f. I sure don't. I want my emacs to work like emacs and not like a Mac. :-) No offense to the Aquamacs guys, their goals are just different than mine. At any rate, I set up a script to build emacs from CVS every week. It will build on whatever version of OS X I happen to be using at the time and so these may or may not work for you. Also keep in mind these are pre-release snapshots from the Emacs cvs server and so again, they may not work for you. If you download a build, please use the thumbs up and thumbs down pointer for that build to indicate whether or not it worked for you (rather than sending me email).
